Sculptor Arnaldo Giannelli was born in 1907 in the hillside-town of Volterra, Tuscany, Italy. In 1970, he was awarded the title of "Cavaliere della Republic" (an Italian knighthood) for his artistic achievements. His son Alfo continued his father's work after Arnaldo's death in 1992.
